Watt Will is a sister company of Watt Mortgage. Personal data will only be shared between Watt Will and Watt Mortgage where the customer has provided their explicit consent, and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Our services

Watt Will provides the following services:

• Will writing and related document preparation
• Estate planning advice and support
• Lasting Power of Attorney document preparation

Important: Watt Will employs professional will writers who are not solicitors. We do not provide legal advice in the solicitor-client sense and are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Our will writers are trained professionals who specialise in will drafting and estate planning.

If your estate or personal circumstances are complex, we may recommend that you also seek independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor.

3. Engagement and instructions

Our services begin when you submit a completed will questionnaire or formally instruct us following a consultation. By submitting your questionnaire or instructions, you confirm that the information you have provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

It is your responsibility to review all documents we prepare on your behalf and to notify us of any errors or omissions before execution. We accept no liability for documents that are executed on the basis of information you have provided that is incorrect or incomplete.

4. Execution of documents

Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney must be executed correctly to be legally valid. We will provide clear written instructions on how to sign and witness your documents. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions precisely.

We cannot be held responsible for documents that are invalidated due to incorrect execution where we have provided proper instructions.

5. Fees and payment

Our fees will be confirmed in writing before work commences. Fees are payable as agreed at the time of instruction. We reserve the right to suspend or cease work if fees are not paid in accordance with the agreed terms.

Where a fixed fee has been agreed, this covers the work described at the time of instruction. Additional work requested outside of the original scope may be subject to additional charges, which will be agreed with you in advance.

6. Referrals and existing customer discounts

Where a discount is offered to referred or existing Watt Mortgage customers, this is subject to eligibility verification. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend promotional pricing at any time. Discounts cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

7. Cancellation and changes

You may cancel your instruction at any time before work has commenced and receive a full refund of any fees paid. Once work has commenced, we reserve the right to charge for work already completed.

If you wish to make changes to your instructions after work has begun, please notify us as soon as possible. Changes may affect the timeline and cost of your matter.

8. Limitation of liability

We will carry out our services with reasonable skill and care. However, our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the fees you have paid us for the specific matter in question.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of inheritance, tax liability, or legal costs arising from disputes over your estate.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Confidentiality

We will keep all information you provide to us confidential and will not disclose it to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
